"When I work with someone as their coach, I become part of their team and support from their corner.
I walk alongside them, encouraging and challenging them as needed"

"Ashley asked questions that while simple in theory, I had to think deeply to answer"

As a coach this is one of my favourite pieces of client feedback.

From a departmental head in the creative sector, it captures the essence of my practice:

– Simplicity and Depth

About Me

I’m a coach for leaders who find themselves in a moment.

A moment of change, transition and challenge.

People who are great at what they do, with years of experience and a proud reputation. Yet they find themselves in a situation where something suddenly feels harder than it should.

That might be a new role, a new organisation, greater leadership responsibility or simply a point where the way you’ve been working no longer seems to be working quite as well for you.

My job is to give you the space to work out what’s going on, what’s getting in your way and what you want to do next.

Why me?

My coaching work has its roots in more than 25 years working in television production.

I’ve worked in senior production management roles, leading teams, managing complex projects, making decisions under pressure and supporting creative teams to make compelling films and tell great stories.

I’ve also experienced plenty of my own moments of change.

I’ve moved between roles and organisations, taken on new responsibilities, dealt with uncertainty and disruption, and had to work out what comes next. I know what it feels like when the confidence you had in one situation doesn’t quite follow you into the next.

That experience shapes the way I coach.

I’m interested in the person behind the job, but also what the reality of your job is like for you. The pressures, the relationships, the decisions, the things that keep you awake at 3am.

How I work

I work with you to understand what’s happening, challenge the things that might be holding you back and find approaches that work for you.

I very much see myself in your corner, supporting and challenging you.

I want our conversations to be honest, practical and focused on what will actually make a difference to you.

I’m there to give you somewhere to say the things you might not be able to say elsewhere, think things through properly and work out what you want to do next.

A bit more about me

I’m a qualified coach, with an ILM Level 7 qualification in ‘Executive and Senior Level Coaching and Mentoring.’

My coaching practice is grounded in the professional experience I’ve built over more than 25 years, but it’s also shaped by my own curiosity about people, work and what happens when there’s some friction between the two.

I’m based in Scotland and work with clients online and in person.

If you’re having a moment at work and think a conversation might help, I’d be happy to talk.
